DIY Fall Gold Hoop Wreath
Every fall, without fail, I find myself itching to make a new wreath for the season. It’s basically a tradition at this point! This year I wanted to create something non traditional. I decided to go with a gold hoop for a modern touch, then add some rustic elements like wheat, and finish it off with a gorgeous crushed velvet mauve ribbon for a romantic element. It came out so stunning!
Materials:
Gold Hoop (this is the one that I used)
Floral Wire
Preserved Eucalyptus
Faux Wheat
Velvet Ribbon
I got a pack of these gorgeous gold hoops on Amazon and I have been using them for so many different projects. To start, I added some preserved eucalyptus to my hoop using floral wire to attach it.
You can customize this wreath any way that you’d like by adding whatever florals and greenery that you prefer. I decided to add some wheat and small flowers for a rustic element.
Once I was happy with the placement of the florals, I added this beautiful crushed velvet ribbon. I think it gives the wreath a romantic vibe which I am really liking for my decor this fall. I tied one knot in the center where I had attached everything, which was perfect for hiding the floral wire.
To finish it off, I cut a small piece of leather and slid it under the top of the hoop. I added a small amount of hot glue to the leather to secure it to the hoop, then I used my leather punch to create a hole on each side of the leather. This makes it super easy to hang on the wall or door using a nail or other hanger.
I am so happy with how this wreath turned out. I love the color combinations and think it is the perfect mix of romantic, boho, and modern styles. I can’t wait to style it with the rest of my fall decor!
